Welcome to the website for Safe to Bloom Therapy. By accessing or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

This website is intended to provide general information about Safe to Bloom Therapy, our services, areas of focus, values, and ways to get in touch. Use of this website does not create a therapist-client relationship.

1. Website Use

The information on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, or a substitute for working directly with a licensed mental health professional.

A therapist-client relationship with Safe to Bloom Therapy / Katlyn Michaels, MSW, LCSW is only established after appropriate intake paperwork, informed consent, clinical review, and acceptance into services.

2. No Emergency or Crisis Services

This website is not monitored for emergencies. Contact forms, emails, voicemail, or other website communication tools should not be used for urgent or crisis-related needs.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, thoughts of suicide, thoughts of harming someone else, or feel unable to stay safe, please call or text 988 or go to the nearest emergency room. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors for people experiencing suicidal, substance use, or mental health crisis concerns.

3. Therapy Services and Availability

Information about services, specialties, fees, scheduling, and availability may change at any time. Submitting a contact form or requesting an appointment does not guarantee that Safe to Bloom Therapy can provide services.

Safe to Bloom Therapy may determine that a referral to another provider, a higher level of care, or a different type of service is more appropriate based on clinical needs, location, scope of practice, availability, or safety concerns.

4. Communication Through This Website

You may choose to contact Safe to Bloom Therapy through forms, email links, or other website features. Please avoid including highly sensitive clinical details, protected health information, or urgent safety concerns in website forms or regular email.

While reasonable steps may be taken to protect privacy, electronic communication can carry risks. Standard email and website forms may not be fully secure or appropriate for detailed clinical communication.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

Safe to Bloom Therapy values your privacy. Information collected through this website may include details you voluntarily submit, such as your name, contact information, and reason for reaching out.

If you become a client, your health information may be protected under applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA. Mental health care providers are generally required to protect health information and provide clients with information about privacy practices and client rights related to health information.

Website use may also involve third-party platforms, such as website hosting, analytics, scheduling tools, email services, embedded content, or client portal systems. These services may collect certain technical information, such as browser type, IP address, device information, or pages visited.

For more information about how information is collected, used, stored, and protected, please review our Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices, if applicable.

6. Telehealth and Location Requirements

Safe to Bloom Therapy may offer telehealth services when clinically appropriate and legally permitted. Telehealth services may involve specific risks and responsibilities related to privacy, technology, internet connection, emergency planning, and the physical location of the client at the time of session.

Providers offering telehealth are generally expected to consider informed consent, confidentiality, security, emergency procedures, documentation, and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements.

Clients may need to be physically located in a state where their therapist is licensed (at the time of this policy - Pennsylvania or Maryland) to practice at the time of service.

7. Educational Content

Blog posts, resources, social media content, downloads, worksheets, videos, and other educational materials shared by Safe to Bloom Therapy are for general information and reflection only.

8. Client Portal, Scheduling, and Third-Party Platforms

Safe to Bloom Therapy may use third-party platforms for scheduling, telehealth, forms, payment, client communication, or documentation. These platforms may have their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.

By using any third-party platform connected to Safe to Bloom Therapy, you may also be agreeing to that platform’s terms and policies.

9. Fees, Payment, and Insurance Information

Any information on this website related to fees, insurance, superbills, out-of-network benefits, payment methods, or cancellation policies is provided for general reference and may change.

Specific fees, payment expectations, cancellation policies, and financial agreements will be reviewed through intake paperwork or direct communication before services begin.
