Hi, I’m Katlyn.
I’m a therapist, grief educator, and writer passionate about helping fellow humans heal through therapy, education, and storytelling.

A bit about me.

If you’ve found yourself here, you may be carrying something heavy: grief, trauma, or both. I want you to know you don’t have to carry it alone.

I’m Katlyn Michaels, LCSW, a therapist who specializes in grief, loss, and bereavement. I also support clients navigating attachment and childhood trauma, chronic illness and medical trauma, and women’s issues. My therapy work is grounded in relational, somatic, and evidence-based approaches, and always moves at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

Alongside my clinical practice, I’m also a grief educator, writer, and speaker. I create resources, workshops, and community offerings that bring conversations about loss, trauma, and healing into spaces beyond the therapy room. My goal is to make grief education more accessible, especially for those who may not be able to work with me directly.

Outside of work, I’m a book lover, an elder emo at heart, and someone who feels most at home in cozy, slightly spooky spaces. I believe the things we’re drawn to — stories, music, rituals, and community — are often what carry us through our hardest seasons.

If you’re curious about therapy, interested in one of my groups or workshops, or simply want to connect with my writing, I’d love to hear from you.
